Clif Bar - Kyle Robidoux

“The Western States Training Camp was, no pun intended, a huge eye opener,”

Kyle Robidoux suffers from retinitis pigmentosa, a hereditary and degenerative disease that was diagnosed when he was 11 years old. He experiences an extreme tunnel vision similar to looking through a paper towel tube. In 2019, Clif Bar invited Kyle to participate in the Western States 100-mile Endurance Run. This prestigious and difficult race had never seen a visually impaired runner in its history.

I had the opportunity to photograph Kyle as he trained for and attempted the Western States Endurance Race.
